Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that the agitation will not stop until CEC Gyanesh Kumar resigns or Prime Minister Narendra Modi removes him. Sir, the Congress-led India alliance had called for an agitation at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on November 1 against Gyanesh Kumar. Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by Swaraj India founder Yogendra Yadav and CPI(ML) leader Dipankar Bhattacharya at a 'Jan Sunwai' event in Delhi's Trilokpuri.
'Sir' accepted the pleas of the victims. Rahul alleged that 416 voters in four polling booths in Trilokpuri were illegally deleted from the voters' list in the name of 'Sir'. "Gyanesh Kumar is not answering our questions on illegal deletion of votes. But we're not going to spare him. Crores of people in the country have lost their right to vote due to the CEC's behaviour. The poor are being deprived of all their rights, including the right to vote. The effort is to build a new India with a select few rich. The poor have no rights there. Everything is confined to the rich," he said. AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of tarnishing their image by suppressing the people's movement.
