The war of words between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and BJP leaders continues to intensify. Rahul recently alleged in a post on X that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is staying in power with the support of foreign forces. He also claimed that foreign entities are controlling India’s economy under the BJP government. His remarks triggered a strong reaction from BJP national spokesperson C.R. Kesavan, who objected to the allegations and launched a sharp attack on the Congress leader.
Kesavan described Rahul Gandhi as a “disgusting and repulsive person” and alleged that he repeatedly makes baseless and weak accusations, eventually becoming a subject of ridicule. He added that making such allegations has become a habit for Rahul. Referring to Rahul’s remarks on Indian democracy during his visit to the UK in March 2023, Kesavan criticised him for speaking negatively about the country abroad. He further accused Rahul of seeking foreign interference in India’s internal affairs, arguing that the Congress leader was the one who had invited such intervention.
