BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind strongly criticised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his reported remarks about engineering students. He alleged that the comments could undermine the confidence of both students and their parents. Arvind also questioned whether a person lacking commitment to education should continue to hold the Education portfolio and suggested that the department be assigned to Minister Sridhar Babu.
The MP further alleged that government schools across Telangana lack basic infrastructure such as blackboards, chalk, and proper toilets. He questioned whether the Chief Minister, who also oversees the Education Department, has visited even a single government school. Arvind also challenged Revanth Reddy by asking whether he could fill out his own nomination papers without anyone's assistance and urged the government to prioritise educational reforms.
