

The Central Government is moving forward with the objective of completely eradicating Naxalism from the country. As part of this effort, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a crucial high-level meeting to review the situation. The meeting was held in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, where Amit Shah conducted a comprehensive assessment of the progress made in anti-Naxal operations.
With the deadline set by the Centre to eliminate Naxalism by March 31 fast approaching, the meeting assumed greater significance. Senior officials from central and state security forces, along with intelligence agencies, participated in the discussions, reviewing the operations conducted so far and deliberating on future strategies.
Amit Shah stated that the measures taken in the fight against Naxalism are yielding positive results. He noted that incidents of Naxal violence have significantly declined compared to previous years, attributing this progress to effective coordination among security forces and the implementation of development initiatives. The Union Home Minister reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to strengthening law and order in Naxal-affected regions and emphasized that the government remains determined to impose a decisive check on Naxalism within the stipulated timeline.
