

A tragic road accident occurred during the festive season near Berasia in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, claiming the lives of five people. A tractor-trailer and a pickup vehicle collided violently, resulting in immediate deaths of five passengers and leaving another 12 critically injured. Authorities confirmed that the accident took place in front of Vidya Vihar within the Berasia area. Preliminary reports indicate that all the deceased were traveling in the pickup vehicle. The victims have been identified as Mukesh Ahirwar (40), Babri Bai (60), Deepak (14), Lakshmi Bai (60), and Hari Bai (60), all residents of Sironj.
Police and revenue officials rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the accident. Berasia SDM Ashutosh Sharma briefed the media, confirming the fatalities and stating that the injured were being treated at the nearby Community Health Center. Some victims are reported to be in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll could rise. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident.
