

Despite repeated warnings from authorities about the dangers of over-speeding and reckless driving, motorists continue to ignore safety norms. In a tragic incident in Annamayya district, three youths lost their lives in a road accident on Thursday night. The mishap occurred near Sarkarutopu in Kurabalakota mandal, where the Bike they were riding lost control and crashed into a divider on the national highway. According to police, the victims—Surendra from B. Kothakota, and Madhav and Mahesh from Madanapalle—were close friends who had travelled for work and were returning home when the accident took place.
After crossing Ammacheruvumitta on the outskirts of Madanapalle, the rider reportedly lost control of the bike due to high speed, leading to a fatal collision. All three suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, leaving their families devastated. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. The tragedy once again highlights the urgent need for stricter adherence to road safety rules.
