The Governor of Tamil Nadu has formally accepted the resignation of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin along with his Council of Ministers. The development follows the completion of the current government’s tenure, marking a key constitutional step in the transition of power.
The Governor has, however, requested M.K. Stalin to continue as the caretaker Chief Minister until alternative arrangements are made. This ensures administrative continuity in the state until a new government is formed and sworn in.
