

A pall of grief has descended on the family of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh following the demise of his father, Khanchandra Singh. He passed away at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida after battling stage-4 liver cancer for some time. His health had deteriorated in recent days, leading to hospitalization.
According to reports, Khanchandra Singh was undergoing treatment on ventilator support and doctors had also administered Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) as his condition worsened. Despite medical efforts, he breathed his last in the early hours of February 27. Rinku Singh had recently left the Indian team midway due to his father’s medical emergency. Upon receiving news of his father’s critical condition and subsequent passing, he immediately departed from Chennai to his hometown.
The 28-year-old cricketer, who rose from a modest background to earn a place in the Indian national team, has often credited his father’s unwavering support for his success. Losing his father is considered a profound personal loss for Rinku. Fellow cricketers and members of the cricketing fraternity have expressed their condolences and extended support to him during this difficult time. Rinku Singh hails from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
