The Meteorological Department has issued an important alert for the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It announced that a low-pressure system is likely to form over the South Bay of Bengal today. Due to its impact, rainfall is expected in parts of Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka.
The department further stated that after the 19th of this month, a surface circulation may develop and intensify into another low-pressure system. As a result of these developments, moderate rainfall is likely in certain regions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In particular, Telangana may witness rainfall for nearly four days between the 25th and 28th of this month. Overall, the Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of two low-pressure systems forming during this period.
Meanwhile, the intensity of winter is gradually declining in both states. In line with the common belief that the chill subsides after Maha Shivaratri, temperatures are steadily rising. Although evenings remain slightly cool, afternoons are becoming increasingly hot, with temperatures crossing 30 degrees Celsius in several areas. Forecasts suggest that the summer heat could intensify from the first week of March this year.
