Property Dispute: Brutal Murder in Moinabad

A shocking incident occurred in Rangareddy district, where a woman lawyer, Swapna (34), was allegedly murdered by her own brother. The incident took place at Kethireddypally in Moinabad mandal. According to police, Swapna was practicing as an advocate at the Chevella court and had ongoing family property disputes. During a panchayat held at a farmland on Wednesday morning, the argument escalated, leading her brother to attack and kill her.

Moinabad police rushed to the spot upon receiving information, inspected the scene, and shifted the body to a government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway. Condemning the murder, advocates from the Chevella court staged protests by boycotting court work. They held a sit-in protest in front of the Moinabad police station and blocked the Hyderabad–Bijapur highway, demanding swift justice.
