The Telangana Police have launched a statewide “Operation Crackdown” targeting cyber crimes, with a special focus on mule bank accounts linked to illegal activities. Authorities have begun large-scale inspections across the state, identifying thousands of suspicious accounts connected to cyber fraud networks. The operation is being carried out in coordination with district police units and police commissionerates to curb the growing menace of financial cybercrime.
Officials stated that the drive will be conducted in phases over the next few months. In the first phase, police are concentrating on mule bank accounts across 16 districts, aiming to dismantle organized cybercrime networks and strengthen financial security. The intensified surveillance and enforcement measures are expected to significantly disrupt fraudulent transactions in the state.
