In a single day yesterday, a total of 180 flights were cancelled across the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. The sudden cancellations caused significant inconvenience to both domestic and international passengers. Many travelers were forced to wait for hours at airports due to the disruption.
Additionally, 33 flight services from Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad to various Gulf countries were also cancelled. As a result, several passengers travelling for employment or urgent personal commitments faced considerable difficulties.
Due to the cancellations, delays were reported in ticket rescheduling and refund processes. Some passengers had to incur additional expenses to book alternative flights. Airlines stated that the cancellations were necessitated by adverse weather conditions, technical issues or operational constraints. While these developments have led to growing concern among passengers, airline authorities have assured that necessary measures are being taken to restore services at the earliest.
