

The Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Maha Jathara concluded in a grand manner this year, creating a place in history, said State Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women & Child Welfare, Dr. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka. She stated that ensuring peaceful darshan for crores of devotees without any inconvenience was a major achievement of the government machinery. Speaking at a media conference in Medaram after the Vanapravesham of the goddesses, the Minister said that well-planned preparations, clear strategies and strong coordination among departments ensured the smooth conduct of the Jathara. Facilities such as transport, medical services, drinking water, sanitation, power supply, fire services and police security worked together effectively.

Minister Seethakka said that the new development works undertaken this year became a major attraction of the Jathara. The improvement and beautification of the goddess platforms provided a better experience for devotees. Expansion of the surrounding areas, pedestrian-friendly pathways and permanent basic facilities enhanced the prestige of the Medaram Jathara. She added that the blend of tradition and modern facilities added more glory to the festival and strengthened its importance for future generations.
The Minister expressed heartfelt thanks to the district administration, police department, government officials, employees, media representatives, voluntary organizations, public representatives, villagers and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the Jathara a success. She said that despite false propaganda by some groups, devotees remained focused on serving the goddesses. With the support of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the development works were completed within 100 days and his name would remain permanently associated with Medaram’s history. Minister Seethakka wished peace, happiness and prosperity for all the people of the state with the blessings of Sammakka Saralamma.
