A massive fire broke out at a scrap godown in the Bholakpur area of Secunderabad on Thursday, triggering panic among nearby residents. The blaze spread rapidly due to the presence of plastic, metal, and other scrap materials stored at the site.
Local residents immediately alerted the police, following which fire department officials rushed to the spot. Three fire engines were deployed to control the flames, while authorities evacuated nearby houses as a precautionary measure.
The scrap stored inside the godown was completely destroyed in the fire, causing property damage estimated to be worth several lakhs of rupees. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
