The High Court has issued significant directions concerning the Tirumala Parakamani theft case, particularly the compromise reached before the Lok Adalat and the assets of the accused, Ravi Kumar. The court instructed the Directors General of CID and ACB to submit two additional sets of reports in sealed covers to the Registrar Judicial by Monday.
A bench comprising Chief Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur and Justice R. Raghunandan Rao, which is examining the legality of the Lok Adalat award, clarified that these reports should be placed before them for review.
During the previous hearing, Senior Advocate Nageshwar Rao, appearing for accused Ravi Kumar, had requested copies of the reports. However, the bench ruled that the accused is not entitled to access these documents at this stage, stating that they are meant solely for the court’s examination.
Justice Gannamaneni Ramakrishna Prasad adjourned the matter to the 9th of this month to allow time for reviewing the submitted material and issuing appropriate directions.
Meanwhile, Senior Advocate Unnam Murali Dhar Rao, representing AP Sadhupareeshat President Swami Srinivasananda, informed the court that they have filed an implead petition. As a new advocate has submitted a vakalat, he requested that the name be updated in the case list. The court accepted the request and issued necessary instructions.
