Former CM K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) sent a six-page letter to the Jubilee Hills ACP, who is handling the SIT (Special Investigation Team) investigation. In the letter, KCR stated that the notices issued by the SIT were illegal and violated his constitutional rights. He strongly objected to notices being pasted on his house wall, saying this is against the law and disrespects Supreme Court guidelines.
KCR had requested that the first notice be rescheduled due to his municipal election commitments. He also highlighted Section 160 of the CrPC, which requires that persons above 65 years be examined at their residence. Despite this, unidentified persons reportedly pasted the notice on his NandiNagar residence at 9 PM. KCR emphasized that all future notices should only be sent to his residence in Erravalli.
Despite these legal issues, as a former CM, current opposition leader and responsible citizen, KCR said he would cooperate with the investigation. He confirmed that he will be available at NandiNagar at 3 PM tomorrow and his statement should be recorded there.
