India has reacted for the first time to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and expressed deep condolences. The Government of India conveyed its sympathies to the people and leadership of Iran over the passing of the influential leader.
India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri visited the Embassy of Iran in New Delhi and wrote a condolence message in the official register. Through this gesture, India expressed solidarity with Iran and paid tribute to Khamenei’s leadership and legacy.
