

The state government has announced huge blessings for the development of Hyderabad metropolis. The cabinet has approved key projects such as road improvement, drinking water supply, reservoir construction, and animal shelter. These works will be undertaken with a total of more than Rs. 4 thousand crore.
The second phase of the Comprehensive Road Maintenance Program (CRMP) in the capital has received a green signal with a cost of Rs. 3,145 crore. 1,142 km of main roads will be improved in five years. Damaged roads will be removed and new BT and CC roads will be laid.
Key decisions have also been taken in the drinking water sector. A new pipeline will be laid at a cost of Rs. 772 crore in place of the old pipelines in Manjira Phase-1 and Phase-2. Also, a new pipeline will be laid at a cost of Rs. 280 crore in place of the old conduit from Osmansagar to Asifnagar. Two acres of land has been allocated for the construction of a huge reservoir at Kokapet Neopolis.
It has been decided to include four villages under the HMDA. Also, a special center will be set up in Gopanpally for the care of stray dogs and other animals. GHMC, Ranki Foundation and All for Animals Foundation will jointly implement this project.
