FIR must be registered at the scene of the incident: CP Sajjanar

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar issued clear instructions to the police that FIRs should be registered at the crime scene. He gave these crucial instructions during an awareness meeting held with TGICCC officials on Thursday. He stated that in cases of accidents and unnatural deaths, the FIR should be registered at the scene of the incident or at the hospital.

The Commissioner clarified that victims or their family members should not be unnecessarily summoned to the police station. He warned that departmental action would be taken against officials who violate the rules and cause inconvenience to the victims. Sajjanar suggested that providing justice to the public is the primary responsibility of the police, and there is a need to act humanely.
