

The Central Government has released ₹5,060 crore to Panchayati Raj Institutions and rural local bodies in Telangana under the 14th Finance Commission. Additionally, the 15th Finance Commission allocated ₹9,050 crore to the state. In total, Telangana has been allotted ₹14,110 crore under the two Finance Commissions.
Out of this, ₹5,060 crore was sanctioned under the 14th Finance Commission and ₹6,051 crore under the 15th Finance Commission. Together, a total of ₹11,111 crore had been released to Telangana as of December 31, 2025.
Following the recent local body elections, the Central Government has so far released ₹1,034.42 crore to Telangana in three instalments. The Centre has also stated that the remaining funds will be released once the rural local bodies submit their utilisation certificates.
