

Another criminal case has been registered against young actor Chandrahass, son of television actor Prabhakar, following a controversy over his song performance at a film event. During the audio launch of the film Barabar Premista, Chandrahass sang the song “Gungee Gungee,” which sparked strong criticism. Allegations surfaced that he used obscene and inappropriate language during the performance, leading to public outrage.
Earlier, a case was registered at Madhapur Police Station, and now a fresh criminal case has been booked at Jubilee Hills Police Station. According to Inspector K. Venkateshwara Reddy, a complaint was lodged by constable Nithish Kumar, stating that Chandrahass used objectionable language while performing at the film’s pre-release event. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case, initiated an investigation, and launched a search operation to trace the actor. Meanwhile, Barabar Premista, directed by Sampath Rudra and produced by Geda Chandu and Gayatri Chinni, was released in theatres today, Friday, February 6.
