

Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader, the Dalailama, has won the prestigious Grammy Award. At the age of 90, he received his first Grammy, capturing international attention. This achievement marks a milestone not only in the music industry but also in social, cultural and spiritual spheres.
The award was given for his album “Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalailama”, in which he shares his thoughts and messages in audio format. Through this spoken-word album, he conveys reflections on meditation, peace, compassion and introspection directly to listeners. Renowned sarod musician Anjad Ali Khan provided the background music for the Dalailama’s speeches.
The prestigious Grammy Awards ceremony, considered one of the highest honors in music, was organized by The Recording Academy in California, USA. At the 68th Grammy Awards, artists from around the world were recognized for their albums and songs, celebrating excellence in music across various categories.
