Director Srikanth Odela gave Nani his first Rs 100 crore success with ‘Dasara’. Now, director Sampath Nandi is aiming to deliver a similar blockbuster for Sharwanand. The upcoming film ‘Bhogi’, starring Sharwanand and directed by Sampath Nandi, has already generated considerable interest among moviegoers. The project is particularly important for both the actor and the director, as Sharwanand is yet to achieve a Rs 100 crore gross collection, while Sampath Nandi is also looking to score a film with such box-office numbers as a director. Reports suggest that special attention is being given to the storyline and character development to make the film stand out.
Set against the backdrop of the Telangana–Maharashtra border region in the 1960s, ‘Bhogi’ is being developed as a raw and rustic action drama. Sharwanand has undergone a complete transformation for his character, Ganga. Along with a rugged mass look and intense action sequences, the film is also expected to feature strong emotional elements. However, action alone may not be enough to attract audiences and achieve massive box-office collections. A compelling storyline, family relationships and emotionally engaging scenes could play a crucial role in the film's success. It remains to be seen whether ‘Bhogi’ will follow the success path of ‘Dasara’ and help both Sharwanand and Sampath Nandi reach a significant milestone in their careers.
