Shruti Haasan Opens Up About Marriage

Tollywood star and multi-talented actress Shruti Haasan’s comments on marriage have sparked discussion on social media. Speaking on Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, Shruti addressed her decision to remain single as she approaches 40. She clarified that she is not against marriage and would like to have a partner by her side. However, she said she does not want to fit into a fixed mould and prefers to live life on her own terms. She added that she follows traditional values in some aspects of life, but only when they come from her own choice and not because anyone forces them on her.

Shruti also shared her views on the lavish spending and showmanship often associated with weddings. She questioned the need for expensive ceremonies and legal paperwork, saying she believes true love is about choosing each other wholeheartedly every day rather than simply being bound by legal documents. She said she has no issue with people spending heavily on weddings, but felt that such money could also be used for charity or social causes. Recalling that she had once come close to getting married, Shruti said she did not feel afraid at the time. She also expressed her desire to become a mother, stating that marriage is not the only way to have children. She said she is open to adoption and would also like to experience motherhood naturally as part of her life.
