Same Scene, Two Films.. ‘Hanuman Anshh’ Gets the Same Craze After ‘Irumudi’!

Devotional cinema appears to be gaining strong momentum across the Indian film industry. Recently, Telugu film Irumudi created considerable buzz with its Ayyappa Swamy theme and reportedly went on to deliver an emotional success for Ravi Teja. A similar trend is now being discussed in connection with Bollywood’s Hanuman Anshh, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi.

Interestingly, both films are said to have witnessed similar incidents at theatres. In one Telangana location, audiences reportedly protested after Irumudi was replaced by another film and demanded that its screening be restored. A similar situation was reportedly seen in Mumbai’s Bandra when Hanuman Anshh shows were replaced by Mirzapur. Audiences allegedly protested and the matter reached the police, following which the theatre management brought back Hanuman Anshh. These incidents underline how strong audience demand can become when a film connects with viewers.
