An exciting new update has emerged from the ‘Maha Avatar’ series, which has carved a distinct niche for itself in the world of animated cinema. The film’s production team has released the title poster for the second installment in the series, titled ‘Maha Avatar: Parashuram.’ It was announced that the film is slated to be released to audiences in December 2027. The filmmakers stated that Parashuram manifests when Dharma (righteousness) is in decline; he is not merely a ruler, but stands as a formidable force against Adharma (unrighteousness).
Created by director Ashwin Kumar, the ‘Maha Avatar Cinematic Universe’ is being developed based on the Dashavatars (ten incarnations) of Lord Maha Vishnu. The first film in this series, ‘Maha Avatar Narasimha,’ achieved massive success at the box office, grossing over ₹300 crores. Produced on a budget of approximately ₹40 crores, the film garnered immense popularity and acclaim. Renowned production house Hombale Films is producing this cinematic universe, and it has been announced that the franchise will ultimately comprise a total of five films.
