Kangana Ranaut’s latest film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata is facing difficulties at the box office despite being based on real-life incidents linked to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. While the film managed to post reasonable numbers during its opening weekend, its performance dropped significantly on Monday. According to trade reports, the film collected only ₹65 lakh net on its fourth day, marking a steep decline of nearly 64 percent compared to its Sunday earnings of ₹1.8 crore.
Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film highlights the bravery of nurse Anjali Kulthe, who reportedly helped save 20 pregnant women during the attacks at Cama Hospital in Mumbai. Although the film has received appreciation from critics for its emotional storytelling and performances, it has struggled to attract audiences to theatres. After four days, the film's total India net collection stands at approximately ₹4.9 crore, considerably lower than Kangana’s previous release Emergency. Trade analysts believe the film may face an uphill battle in the coming days amid competition from other releases.
