The much-anticipated collaboration between Icon Star Allu Arjun and director Lokesh Kanagaraj has once again become a talking point among fans. The project, tentatively titled AA23, recently attracted attention after rumours circulated on social media that the film might have been put on hold. Adding to the excitement, Lokesh shared a photograph of himself discussing the story with Allu Arjun and hinted that interesting updates would be announced soon. Although the director did not reveal what the announcement would contain, the post has sparked speculation about a possible title reveal, Allu Arjun’s first look or an update on the shooting schedule. However, no specific announcement date or new project details have been officially confirmed.
The film was announced by Mythri Movie Makers in January 2026, generating considerable buzz with its striking promotional visuals featuring a lion and a fox, accompanied by a musical theme composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The project is referred to as AA23 because it is expected to be Allu Arjun’s 23rd film, while LK7 refers to Lokesh’s seventh directorial venture. The film’s storyline, genre, cast and possible connection to the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) remain undisclosed. Allu Arjun is also working on director Atlee’s film Raaka, and the schedule for AA23 has yet to be officially clarified. Lokesh’s latest post has nevertheless renewed anticipation for further updates about the ambitious collaboration.
