

A delicious and healthy Ragi Thop can be prepared using one cup of ragi flour, a quarter cup of jaggery, two cups of water, half a tablespoon of cardamom powder, two tablespoons of ghee, 10 cashews, 10 raisins, and grated coconut. First, dissolve jaggery in one cup of water and keep it aside. Then mix the ragi flour with half a cup of water until smooth and lump-free. Boil the jaggery water in a pan and gradually add the ragi mixture while stirring continuously.
Cook the mixture on medium flame until it thickens. Add cardamom powder and grated coconut, and cook for a few more minutes. In another pan, heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins until golden, then add them to the mixture. Finally, add a little ghee and mix well before serving. You can also prepare it with milk for added richness. Using jaggery instead of sugar enhances both taste and health benefits. Adding powdered almonds and cashews further improves flavor.
