Stay Alert Until the Rains Subside - Pawan Kalyan

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan directed officials to remain on high alert in Kakinada district until the heavy rains completely subside. Reviewing the situation with Kakinada Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, he instructed officials to continuously monitor low-lying and flood-prone areas and shift people to safer locations or relief camps wherever necessary. He also ordered the immediate removal of fallen trees, restoration of road connectivity and continuous dewatering of waterlogged areas. The district administration has been monitoring the situation through a 24-hour control room.

Pawan Kalyan also directed officials to closely monitor water levels in reservoirs and issue advance warnings to people in downstream areas whenever required. He asked authorities to assess crop losses as soon as the rains subside and submit a report to the government so that assistance can be provided to affected farmers. He also reviewed the situation along the Uppada coast and in flood-prone areas around Suddhagadda stream in the Pithapuram constituency, and instructed officials to ensure that fishermen do not venture into the sea until the weather conditions improve.
