Speaker Abuse Case: High Court Issues Notices to Two MLCs

The Telangana High Court has issued notices to MLCs Tatha Madhu and Naveen Reddy in connection with a case involving alleged abusive remarks against the Speaker. The police approached the High Court challenging the earlier orders of the Nampally court, which had refused to remand the two MLCs and directed that they should not be arrested.

During the hearing, the Public Prosecutor told the High Court that the MLCs had allegedly used abusive language against the Speaker, who holds a constitutional position. The prosecution also alleged that police officers who were performing their duties were attacked during the incident. The police have sought the setting aside of the Nampally court’s orders.
