Revanth Thanks Shivakumar for Krishna Water Release

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has thanked Karnataka Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar for responding positively to Telangana’s request for the release of Krishna River water. Revanth had appealed to Shivakumar to release water from Karnataka’s Upper Krishna system to help protect standing crops in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar region. The request was made amid water stress in areas dependent on the Jurala irrigation system.

Reacting to the development, Revanth Reddy expressed his gratitude to Shivakumar on behalf of the people of Telangana. He described the positive response as a reflection of the friendly relations and brotherhood between Telangana and Karnataka. A Telangana delegation also met Shivakumar in Bengaluru and sought the release of water to support crops in the region.
