

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has voiced support for students protesting for education reforms and appealed to the government to initiate constructive discussions with them. Referring to the ongoing demonstrations led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), she said the concerns raised by students deserve attention and should be addressed through dialogue. Zinta also emphasised that the movement must remain peaceful and focused on its primary objective of improving the education system.
In a social media post, the actor expressed concern over divisive narratives and hateful content circulating online, stating that student movements should not be diverted for political or other vested interests. Reaffirming her faith in democracy, law and order, and the government's institutions, she expressed hope that meaningful discussions between the authorities and student representatives would lead to a positive resolution. Her remarks have generated mixed reactions on social media, with many supporting her call for dialogue.
