Ponnam Prabhakar Makes Key Remarks on Ganesh Immersion

Ganesh idol immersion is progressing peacefully across Hyderabad, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said after conducting an aerial survey and addressing the media at Begumpet Airport. He said the government had made elaborate arrangements in coordination with all departments to ensure that devotees and festival organisers face no inconvenience. The immersion of the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh was completed on Friday, while idols from various parts of the twin cities are continuing to reach designated immersion points.

Prabhakar urged organisers and devotees to cooperate with the authorities and speed up the movement of idols, particularly as rain is likely in the city. He said officials, including the DGP, district collector, GHMC commissioner and police commissioner, are coordinating the arrangements. Although traffic congestion was reported in some areas, including MJ Market and Charminar, authorities were taking steps to clear the traffic. He appealed to everyone to celebrate peacefully and responsibly.
