Heavy Rain Lashes Hyderabad Since Midnight

Heavy rainfall lashed Hyderabad from midnight, affecting several parts of the city. Areas including Saroornagar, Hastinapuram, Uppal, Charminar, Hayathnagar, Balapur, Nampally, Golconda and Rajendranagar received intense showers. Several low-lying areas were waterlogged. Saroornagar recorded the highest rainfall at 11.2 cm, followed by Uppal with 8.1 cm, Bandlaguda with 7.9 cm and Hayathnagar with 7.2 cm.

HYDRA, DRF and MRT teams launched relief operations during the night to clear waterlogged roads. Officials used motor pumps to remove stagnant water and monitored the situation across affected areas to prevent further inconvenience to residents.
