The development of Sri Parvati Jadala Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple at Cheruvugattu in Telangana has been delayed for several years. Although authorities have repeatedly promised improvements, there has been little visible progress on the ground. Officials have mainly conducted inspections and reviews without initiating concrete development work. As a result, thousands of devotees visiting the temple, especially on Amavasya days, are facing difficulties due to the lack of basic facilities.
Essential amenities such as drinking water, sanitation, and accommodation remain inadequate. There are also allegations that the absence of a permanent Executive Officer and the continued reliance on in-charge officials have slowed down progress. Even when a water plant was set up with support from a private company, its improper location has limited its usefulness. Additionally, construction work like entrance arches has remained incomplete for nearly a decade.
Devotees have also raised concerns about poor sanitation near the temple entrance, with newly built toilets still not operational. Despite plans worth around ₹100 crore (later estimated up to ₹140 crore), including roads, queue complexes, and accommodation facilities, no significant work has begun yet. The temple reportedly generates around ₹18 crore annually, but devotees question where the funds are being utilized. Allegations of administrative inefficiency and political interference are also being raised.
