

The foundation stone for the Rayalaseema Horticulture Hub will be laid in Madanapalle today. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are scheduled to participate in the programme at 11 am. The project is planned with an estimated investment of ₹1 lakh crore and will be implemented in three phases. The government plans to contribute ₹40,352 crore, while another ₹60,000 crore is expected to be mobilised from the private sector.
The horticulture hub will cover 201 clusters across 10 districts, spanning 303 mandals and 5,869 villages. The project focuses on expanding horticulture cultivation and developing supporting infrastructure, including cold storage, food processing, marketing and export facilities. The plan is aimed at strengthening the horticulture sector in the region and providing farmers with better infrastructure and market linkages.
