

Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh has directed officials to complete preparations within a month for the release of the DSC 2.0 notification. During a review meeting with senior Education Department officials at his Undavalli residence on Thursday, Lokesh instructed them to ensure complete transparency at every stage, from the notification to the issuance of posting orders to selected candidates. He also directed officials to implement the ‘Mission March’ programme effectively with the objective of improving Class 10 public examination results.
Lokesh called for a ‘Zero Dropout Mission’ involving community leaders to prevent students from leaving school. Referring to the need to keep young people away from drugs, he said awareness programmes such as ‘Drugs Vaddu Bro’ should continue. He directed officials to prepare proposals to develop 175 schools, one in each Assembly constituency, as LEAP Schools and expedite recruitment to 1,523 faculty posts in universities. He also called for faster action to establish 125 autism centres across the state.
