BJP Telangana Chief Ramachander Rao Takes Aim at Congress Govt

BJP Telangana president Ramachander Rao, during an informal interaction with the media, criticised the state government on several issues, including alleged illegal constructions on government land in Nadergul and encroachments around Salkam Cheruvu. He said the BJP would fight against what he described as shortcomings in the Comprehensive Urban Environment and Development-related mechanisms and announced that the party would reveal the nature of its agitation after August 15. Referring to the High Court’s observations on alleged executive failures involving Rangnath and Jayesh Ranjan, he said administrative lapses were affecting development. He also said MPs had discussed with BJP national general secretary Nitin Nabin how they could contribute more effectively to the party.

Rao said the BJP state president is generally changed after two years and indicated that GHMC elections could be held after a new electoral roll is prepared through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He also criticised the Congress over its stance on E20 petrol, alleging that Congress leaders had earlier supported the move but were now spreading misinformation about it. On the Varuna Yagam, he said the government should have conducted it earlier, given the El Niño conditions, rather than towards the end of the monsoon. He also alleged that various Left organisations in Delhi had held protests in the name of Generation Z.
