Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella saw his total compensation soar to $96.5 million in FY25 — the highest since he took charge in 2014. This jump highlights Microsoft’s AI-led growth, with nearly 90% of his pay coming from performance-linked company shares.Last year, Nadella earned $79.1 million, but this year’s surge reflects the company’s strong performance in cloud computing and AI, as well as strategic investments like OpenAI. Microsoft shares have gained around 23% this year, driven largely by Azure’s steady growth.Nadella has transformed Microsoft into a cloud-first, AI-driven powerhouse, acquiring LinkedIn, GitHub, and Activision Blizzard along the way. His early bet on OpenAI turned into a multi-billion-dollar partnership, integrating AI features like ChatGPT into almost every Microsoft product.
Other top executives also saw pay increases: CFO Amy Hood earned $29.5 million, while Judson Althoff took home $28.2 million.
