Lalit Modi Defends Luxury Lifestyle, Dismisses Money Laundering Allegations

Lalit Modi has strongly defended his lavish lifestyle during a recent interview in London, brushing aside allegations of money laundering. He described the accused amounts as insignificant compared to his vast financial empire and personal wealth.

Modi claimed he was “born with a diamond spoon” and asserted that he earns more in a single day than the alleged ₹10–12 crore in question. He further stated that such an amount would not even last him a week. The former IPL chairman refused to apologize for his extravagant lifestyle and said he has no intention of changing it, crediting his wealth to his family’s large business empire and his own entrepreneurial ventures.
