Gold prices recorded a sharp rise in the domestic market, supported by global developments and increased investor demand for safe-haven assets. Lower US Treasury yields encouraged investors to shift towards gold, pushing prices to their highest level in seven weeks. The rally came despite signs of easing tensions between the United States and Iran in West Asia.
The price of 10 grams of gold increased by ₹536 to ₹1,49,029 and touched an intraday high of ₹1,49,700 during trading. Silver prices showed mixed movement, with September 4 futures rising by ₹813 per kilogram to ₹2,28,397 before giving up some gains. In the international COMEX market, gold traded at $4,320 per ounce, while silver remained steady at $62.36 per ounce.
Note: Gold prices fluctuate frequently. Therefore, it is advisable to verify the latest prices once again before purchasing jewellery.
