Apple has reportedly begun preparations for its annual September launch event, where it is widely expected to introduce the iPhone 18 series. According to reports, the company has launched a lottery programme for its US retail employees, allowing selected staff to assist during the in-person event. Employees can apply until August 8, while the selected participants are expected to be informed by August 17. The chosen staff will help manage guest check-ins, queues, directions, and event security.
Although Apple has not officially announced the event date, reports suggest the keynote could take place in the first half of September, with September 9 emerging as the most likely date based on the company's previous launch schedule. The event is also expected to showcase the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, a new Apple Watch lineup, and potentially Apple's first foldable smartphone, which has been widely referred to in reports as the iPhone Fold or iPhone Ultra. Reports also indicate this could be the first major Apple event under incoming CEO John Ternus, who is expected to succeed Tim Cook.
