A new AI trend is going viral on social media recently. In which users share their photo and use AI tools to create a caricature or cartoon image based on their life, job, and family with the prompt “Everything you know about me.” This trend has become widely popular on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. However, while it may seem fun, cybersecurity experts are expressing serious concerns about it.
According to cybersecurity experts, when AI tools are used, they are likely to gain more access to users’ personal information. Along with the photo, many personal details such as name, job, company name, city, family details, and hobbies can also be used. Experts warn that fraudsters may try to use this information to send phishing messages or digital frauds that target individuals.
In the words of experts, AI creates a personal profile by combining not just a photo but all the details we provide. Although it may just look like a cartoon, fraudsters can easily commit fraud based on the information contained in it. That is why cyber experts suggest that we think carefully about how much personal information we are sharing before following such trends on social media.
