Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, during an off-the-record interaction, commented on the issue of cases being registered over remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as the transfer of government officials. He questioned whether even a single case had been registered in BJP-ruled states for criticizing the Prime Minister and stated that his government had registered a case in accordance with the law.
The Chief Minister also said that transferring an official falls within the administrative powers of the government. At the same time, he alleged that BJP leaders have also used objectionable language in their political attacks. Referring to remarks such as "Cockroach Janata Party" and comments directed at students, he claimed that such statements were even more offensive. His remarks have sparked fresh political debate.
