Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has suffered a surprising defeat from the Kolathur constituency, where he had been a dominant political force for decades. Contesting once again from his stronghold, Stalin lost to TVK candidate VS Babu, marking a major political upset in the state.
Stalin had been winning continuously from Kolathur since 1996, securing six consecutive victories as an MLA. This unexpected loss not only ends his long-standing winning streak but also signals a significant shift in voter sentiment in the constituency.
