Tennis Player Myneni Saketh Appointed as Deputy Collector Under Sports Quota

Arjuna Award-winning tennis player Myneni Saketh has been appointed as Deputy Collector in NTR district under the sports quota by the state government. Official orders regarding his appointment have been issued. On Thursday, Saketh met NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha at the Collectorate in Vijayawada and submitted his joining report. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector appreciated Saketh for winning medals and performing well in major international tournaments, including the Asian Games. He stated that the government is encouraging talented sportspersons by providing such opportunities.

The Collector also expressed hope that Saketh would achieve more success in upcoming international competitions and bring greater recognition to the country. He assured that the district administration would extend all necessary support.

Saketh informed that he will be travelling to Europe next week to participate in the ATP Challenger Tour. The Collector extended his best wishes for his upcoming tournaments.
