SIT Statement on KTR Inquiry

As part of the investigation into Crime No. 243/2024 registered at Panjagutta Police Station, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) issued a notice to former minister and Sircilla MLA K.T. Rama Rao Following the notice, he appeared before the SIT officials at Jubilee Hills Police Station today morning at 11:00 AM.

During the inquiry, the SIT questioned him on key aspects of the case and examined the available evidence on record. He was advised not to contact or influence any witnesses. The SIT also informed him that he may be summoned again if required for further investigation.

The SIT clarified that the questioning was strictly limited to Crime No. 243/2024. The case pertains to allegations of illegal and unauthorized phone interception involving politicians, businesspersons, journalists, judges, and several citizens. The SIT stated that the investigation is being conducted in a lawful, impartial, and professional manner and urged the public to rely only on verified and official information.
