Russia achieved a major milestone in space technology by successfully launching 52 satellites in a single mission. The launch was carried out using the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle from the Vostochny Cosmodrome on Sunday, according to Russia’s national space agency Roscosmos.
Among the satellites placed into orbit were three communication satellites belonging to Iran. One of them, named “Paya,” weighs around 150 kilograms and is the heaviest satellite Iran has ever launched into orbit.
The successful mission once again highlighted Russia’s advanced launch capabilities and its ability to deploy multiple satellites into orbit simultaneously.
