

A grand ceremony was held at Rathan Village in the Pattikonda Constituency of Kurnool district to unveil the new statue of legendary actor, statesman, and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). The statue was unveiled by NTR’s son Nandamuri Mohana Krishna, his granddaughter Nandamuri Mohana Roopa, and Pattikonda MLA Shri Shyam Babu, in the presence of Telugu Film Chamber Secretaries Tummala Prasanna Kumar and YVS Chowdary, TDP leaders and Nandamuri admirers. Speaking on the occasion, Mohana Krishna expressed gratitude to MLA Shyam Babu and highlighted NTR’s immense contribution to Rayalaseema, especially in irrigation development. Mohana Roopa also conveyed her joy and thanked the organisers for the opportunity to honour her grandfather.

MLA Shyam Babu described the day as auspicious and expressed pride in unveiling NTR’s statue alongside the Nandamuri family. He praised NTR for empowering Backward Classes politically and stated his wish to see NTR’s statue in every village. The event concluded with floral tributes and heartfelt acknowledgments from dignitaries, celebrating NTR’s enduring legacy and his significant impact on Telugu society and Rayalaseema’s growth.
